Social Awareness Poster

This piece is a social awareness poster created to speak out about the effects of alcohol abuse. I wanted to address the issue of how alcohol can have control over a person and their life. I illustrated an alcohol bottle to represent a puppeteer controlling the figure. I made the bottle much larger than the figure to symbolize how daunting it may feel to struggle with this issue and how it can feel helpless to get away from its control. My goal was to help the viewer feel as though they could relate to this feeling which leads them to follow the call to action. The title I chose is meant to give hope that someone struggling with alcohol addiction does have a choice. I also included a link at the bottom to a website for help with alcohol abuse to provide a solution to the problem.
