Sports Logo Redesign

This is a logo redesign I did for a class project. The assignment was to find a poorly designed logo and revamp it. The original logo for the Minnesota Lynx Women's basketball team has great colors and elements, but I felt it was too busy. My approach was to simplify the design and focus on the mascot. For comparison purposes, the original logo can be found below.
